A City in the Palm of Your Hand

Palm City is a quiet town near I-95 that is mainly comprised of private and gated communities. In spite of its size, Palm City has a unique feel and atmosphere all its own. Everything is very relaxing and laid back, but there are plenty of summer-related activities. This makes Palm City the ideal place to rent a summer home, and there are styles of homes to fit every taste and budget, from waterfront villas and fancy apartments to more Spartan town homes, cabins, and lean-to-style-huts.

The nature of Palm City makes a lengthy stay more fruitful than a short stay. For one thing, it is in a perfect centralized location to be within striking distance of Orlando (and therefore, of course, Disney World, Universal Studios, and even the dreaded Epcot Center), as well as Palm Beach, and all its fancy restaurants and traditional South Florida attractions. Convenient location isnt all that makes Palm City worthwhile it is also a hotbed for traditional summer activities. Golf is very popular in this area (and elsewhere, Im told), with 36 holes of championship-caliber golf to be played. Tennis is likewise represented, and there are a number of beautiful parks brimming with potential recreational activities. Leighton Park, for example, is ideal not only for hiking, horseback riding, and disposing of unwanted medical waste, but also for picnics with the family, and access to the St. Lucie River. From these waterways, you can partake in Palm Citys legendary fishing. From either dockside or boat, you can catch snook, sea trout, mackerel, and grouper, amongst others.

Palm City is the ideal spot for a summer stay and what could match better with summer vacation than limos? Imagine relaxing all day in your villa in Palm City perhaps taking in a round of golf and then picnicking at Leighton Park, then catching a limo to nearby Stuart for a world-class dinner. A limousine from Millenium will provide you with comfort, luxury, and relaxation, as well as freedom from navigating unfamiliar territory during an excursion. Keep Palm City in mind as your vacation destination, and Millenium Limo as the company that will get you there.

Protect Your Computer

I will have to be first when I admit I am addicted to the Internet. Whenever Ive got a spare hour, I love to just surf around as a form of entertainment. I have also found out about the world of download. I can take the best in modern music and DVD and watch or listen as I do whatever else I want. This is the kind of thing that absolutely anyone could become addicted to. Whatever entertainment you want for the cost of your Internet connection! Wow.

As perhaps you would expect, when I am online all the time I run into a few problems that I have had to deal with. When downloading, you are simply asking for problems when these files are not being scanned before you actually download them. I lost all information from my hard disk before, and that includes my financial records, my photographs and the all the games, and DVDs and music which I had downloaded along the way.

Before, I just had some anti-virus software called Norton which was just on my computer when I bought it. I thought it worked fine but occasionally some viruses would get through. Yes only occasionally, but this is not good enough when your computer could just crash at any given time. This is a problem that you have to tackle before some malware or spyware penetrates your hard drive or the internals of your computer. My friend's PC just started switching off whenever it pleased as a result of this and the same thing could easily happen to you.

So basically what I would recommend is that you do not surf the Internet, then your current protection will probably be ok. However if you do, then you absolutely have to upgrade your virus package.

So now I dont rely on any rubbish package for anti-virus protection. You simply have to update your as well if you want to protect your computer. Because the Internet changes every minute, so does the viruses that your anti-virus software has to tackle. That is why you need software which automatically updates itself via your Internet connection. Think about when a new virus pops-along. Will your two-year old package be able to defend your computer? I do not think so some how.

And other thing that you need from anti-virus software is something that will come with support functionality. Imagine when you realize that you have zero idea how to upload your software. You need a call-center that is going to ensure you can get it working on your computer. You should actually get software which directly meets your surfing habits. If you do not then you are just asking for problems to happen. Look at the software and ask questions. Will this be able to handle downloading from peer-to-peer networks?

Basically, if you spend your time online or even if you work from the Internet then you cannot afford not to invest in some quality anti-virus protection. Having some rubbish package is better than nothing, however things are far more sophisticated these days, and you really need something that is going to work. It is a wise investment, and think how much money you will save once you start downloading free stuff online?

Ruby vs Java Conundrum

The Ruby language and Rails framework have been gaining rapid prominence and fast becoming development platforms of choice for many Web 2.0 applications and sites. This rapid rise is raising questions on the abilities and applicability of Java technologies for particular kind of products. Many visionaries and early adopters of Ruby and Rails framework have already sounded the death knell for Java. Impetus iLabs has invested significant time, effort and technological expertise to take a hard look at Java and Ruby platforms and to separate the facts from the fiction, an initiative to make users aware, informed, and ahead of new developments in the technology space.

Java

Java refers to a number of computer software products and specifications that together provide a system for developing and deploying cross-platform applications. Java is used in a wide variety of computing platforms spanning from embedded devices and cell phones on the low end to enterprise servers and super computers on the high end.

Java has gained enormous popularity since it first appeared. Its rapid ascension and wide acceptance can be traced to its design and programming features, particularly in its promise that you can write a program once, and run it anywhere. With Java, you can often get software for free and is one of the first programming languages to consider security as part of its design.

Security measures cannot be implemented with any degree of assurance without a reliable framework for program execution. Java provides multiple levels of reliability measures, beginning with the Java language itself.

Java: Pros

* Javas population of programmers is huge.

* Javas open source community thrives. Open source projects exist across a wide spectrum of problem spaces and fill many different niches. With Java, you can often get software for free that youd have to build yourself or pay for on other languages.

* Java is mature. Java is often the safest choice.

* Java is scalable. Weve learned enough from experience to build applications that scale.

* Java offers choice.

* Java Technology is mature and provides proven solutions for enterprise level problems such as Two-phase commit, and distributed objects.

Java: Cons

Like any programming language, Java is not without drawbacks. A study conducted by Wily in 2003 has reported the J2EE performance and availability was generally average to poor. Java has also been receiving stiff competition with IBM launching consulting support for PHP in February 2005.

* The Java Platform Is Weakening

Successful programming languages seem to emerge every decade or so. Bell Labs developed the C programming language in the early 1970s, C++ was released by AT&T in 1985 and slowly subsumed C because it had features allowing object-oriented programming. Sun released Java in 1996, and it rapidly emerged as a popular language for Internet development. Java has been growing steadily ever since. Trivial logic dictates were due for a new programming language around now, and Java should start to decline soon.

* Complexity

Javas complexity is increasing. With one massively complex framework after another, Java vendors embraced EJB and the most complicated version imaginable of web services and XML. EJB vendors redesigned EJB from scratch twice, forcing significant migrations on their customers.

* Availability

In a 2003 study, Wily (http://www.wilytech.com/news/releases/031120.html) reported that J2EE performance and availability were generally average to poor.

* Competition

In February 2005, IBM announced consulting support for PHP. Ruby on Rails has passed 500,000 total downloads. Peter Yared, Suns previous application server CTO predicted that J2EE would lose to LAMP (open source software consisting of Linux, Apache web server, MySQL, and a dynamic language such as Python, Perl, or PHP)

Ruby language

Ruby is a reflective, dynamic, object-oriented programming language. It combines syntax inspired by Perl with Smalltalk-like object-oriented features, and also shares some features with Python, Lisp, Dylan, and CLU. Ruby is a single-pass interpreted language.

Ruby Pros

* Productivity: Ruby and Ruby on Rails have higher productivity measured as Lines of code per feature size and time to build feature.

* Short ramp up times, well motivated team and experienced team can be productive on RoR platform in less than a week cross training

* A long list of industry visionaries are supporting Ruby

o Martin Fowler, chief scientist at ThoughtWorks

o James Duncan Davidson, creator of Ant and Tomcat, is using Rails in a start-up to develop a web-enabled rich application that will be the primary offering of that company.

o David Geary, key designer for several successful web development frameworks including JavaServer Faces (JSF) is speaking and blogging about Rails with regularity.

o Richard Monson Haefel, once one of two voting individuals for the Java Community Process (JCP) recently led the Burton Group in a discussion with high-profile U.S. companies about Ruby on Rails as an important emerging technology. He has also published a paper about using Rails with Oracle.

* Ruby and Ruby on Rails have higher productivity which leads to other benefits like:

o More productivity leads to fewer developers per project.

o You spend less effort on communication for small projects.

o Having fewer developers per project also lowers management costs per project.

o When you finish applications sooner, you deliver their value to the business sooner.

Ruby Cons

* As a new language, Ruby could potentially stagnate, which could make scarce resources even harder to find.

* There are not as many deployed Ruby applications in production yet, so we dont have as much definitive proof of the ultimate scalability of Ruby.

* The Ruby community is not as well established as the Java community, so its harder to find third-party components, frameworks, education, and services.

* Ruby is less structured than Java and has fewer automated features to protect applications from abuse. This flexibility is both a strength and a weakness.

Summary

Impetus strongly believes that in the current scenario Java and Ruby technology platforms will continue to coexist and address different need. RoR and Ruby platform is much better suited for a particular type of Web Applications and Sites where application programmers can control the database.

Java technology platform is proven and addresses issues like two phase commit and distributed objects very well.

In the coming future the equations may change, Ruby platform has a high chance of overtaking Java Platform to be the platform of choice for building all types of application. Impetus believes that the following factors are conducive of Rubys probability of replacing Java

* Network ubiquity and increasing bandwidth changes the dynamics and premises on which the distributed architecture principles were built. Thin client and layered architectures were necessitated for conserving network bandwidth and reducing network traffic due to latency. In a world with fast and fat pipes of connection these premises would not hold anymore. This tilts the balance in favor of Ruby and ROR.

* CPU cycles and memory is becoming ridiculously cheap. Performance and scaling up potentially will be lesser of an issue as you could use more hardware to scale up applications without having to take on a huge cost burden. This again tilts the balance in Rubys favor.

Why a Lady Needs to Look Good and Feel Good

The answer to this seemingly complex question really is quite simple. And believe it or not, the reason has nothing to do with whats pounded into our heads every day by the media. For example

Looking good and feeling good isnt going to lead us into the waiting arms of an ultra-rich, incredibly handsome, honest and caring, polite and well-mannered man who just happens to be available AND interested.

Looking good and feeling good isnt going to guarantee that our social lives will suddenly be as jam-packed and exciting as all those celebrities whose looks we try so desperately to emulate.

And no, looking good and feeling good wont turn us into highly sought-after starlets either. (Although it MIGHT help us get chosen for the newest reality television show.)

Ladies No matter what you see on television, or hear on the radio or in the salon, or read in newspapers and magazines, the reasons given above are NOT the reasons why you should look good and feel good. Its time you refocus. Now pay attention and Ill give you the answer. Ready for the big reveal? Here is it.

The reason why a lady needs to look good and feel good is so that her life can be more gratifying. Hold on now. This isnt as shallow as it sounds. And it doesnt conflict with what I said above either. When you look good and you feel good you know it and others know it too. And if you still dont believe or understand what I mean, then think about this.

Think back to the last time you were in a room full of females. Do you remember secretly (or along with your girlfriends) giving each person the 30-second analysis based solely on appearance? Dont shake your head and get all righteous; you know you did.

As you scanned the room, you could tell in a moment the women who looked good and felt good. Their eyes seemed to sparkle, their steps seemed a bit lighter, their words flowed a bit more freely, and their overall appearance showed a keen attention to detail.

The women who didnt look good or feel good were just the opposite. The statements they made were full of negative undertones, they had forgotten what their mothers told them about proper posture, they needed someone to tell them NOT to go out looking like that, and they were turning others away faster than they were attracting them.

Which group sounds more like you?

Looking good and feeling good. You almost cannot do one without doing the other. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you cannot help but look good.

How does a lady look good and feel good? It isnt hard and in fact, looking good and feeling good has never been easier! It doesnt matter whether you have a lot of time or just a little, or a lot of money or just a little. Once you make looking good and feeling good your number one goal, youll be surprised at how many different ways there are to accomplish this goal.

You can start working towards your goal right now just by adopting good eating habits. Try loading up on the foods that keep your energy levels constant rather than eating the foods that temporarily spike your energy but then leave you feeling tired and lethargic. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and nuts are all excellent foods to work into your diet. You might miss the junk food at first, but give your body a chance and watch it thrive.

Once youve recovered from the dietary switch, try working in a little exercise. Thirty minutes of moderate exercise 4 5 times a week will go far towards helping you look good and feel good. It might be hard at first to give up your couch for a pair of jogging shoes, but after a few weeks, youll find that you actually look forward to this time of day.

Exercise has so many benefits. Itll help tone your body so even if you dont lose weight, youll look better and your clothes will fit better. Exercise also is a great way to reduce stress. If youre stressed or you know others who are, you know how much older stress can make you look. Exercise improves your circulation, and thats vital if you want your blood to transport the vitamins and nutrients needed to help you look good and feel good throughout your body. Improved circulation helps your skin look suppler and your hair look shinier, too!

Changing your diet and incorporating exercise will go far towards helping you look good and feel good. But wait, it doesnt end there! Remember to enjoy yourself too!

Exercise Caution While Playing A Poker Game Online

Have you ever tried your hand at poker? Poker is probably the most popular card game in the world. A lot of fortunes have been won or lost on this game. Poker and gambling in general is a past-time that most of us indulge in. Unfortunately gambling can transform us from being an occasional gambler into a gambling addict who may eventually even gamble his life away.

Weve all seen those Hollywood movies where guys have lost everything they have and have to resort to desperate means to pay debts or to be able to gamble again. While you might say that it only happens in the movies, some people had actually gone through similar bad experiences due to gambling.

Control or moderation should be exercised in gambling as it should be in potentially dangerous activities like drinking alcohol and smoking. But in our modern times you dont have to wander far for some betting action. You have probably heard of a poker game online. It is said to be the future of gambling.

In these modern times, almost every person has access to a computer. It is now possible to play a poke game online at the comfort of our couch. A few decades ago, who would ever think that people would be playing a poker game online one day?

Whether its online gambling or in some casino in Vegas, it is still important to ensure that you dont bet what you do not have. Its easy to lose control when gambling, especially when youre losing. Not everyone have the self control to quit when their ahead or when they have lost a large amount of money.

Gambling or playing a poker game online doesnt protect you from heavy losses. Since every computer has its own IP address, you cant escape your online gambling debts. So before you play poker game online, remember to gamble with your extra money not your future.

Losing Abdominal Fat The Natural Way

To lose abdominal fat, you need to have some basic street smarts. But where do you get it? It's a jungle out there. It is our practice to turn to medical professionals every time - the people who really know. And very often they come up with the most wonderful remedies. The kinds of remedies passed down through the generations.

Things our grandmothers shared with our families. And why? Because they really work! But more than that, now they have been backed up by science. Laboratory research reveals that oftentime, there is indeed a scientific basis for folk medicine remedies.

Here are 5 tactics that will help you now in the war against your weight.

1. Say ommm

Stress may contribute to abdominal fat, according to several studies, including a recent one at the University of California, San Francisco. "When you're stressed, hormones like cortisol stimulate your appetite, slow your metabolism down and encourage fat storage inside your abdomen," explains Shawn Talbott, Ph.D., director of the Nutrition Clinic at the University of Utah. So what's a frazzled girl to do? "Find an activity that reduces stress for you, whether it's listening to soothing music or taking yoga, and do it daily," advises Talbott.

2. Have a PB & J

Think peanut butter is only for pint-sized palates? Think again. PB is rich in magnesium, a mineral that motors up your metabolism by giving your cells energy. Aim for 320 mg a day of magnesium: Good food sources include a peanut butter sandwich made with whole-wheat bread (100 mg) or spinach (1/2 cup has 80 mg).

3. Exercise off that PMS

You could lose more weight exercising during the later phase of your menstrual cycle than at any other time in your cycle, according to a recent study from the University of Adelaide in Australia. Hormones estrogen and progesterone fire up your fat-burning furnace: They promote your body's use of fat as an energy supply, so more is burned off when you exercise. "Women burned about 30 percent more fat for the two weeks following ovulation to about two days before menstruation," explains study author Leanne Redman.

4. Don't blow off breakfast

Studies show that eating breakfast plays a part in successful weight loss -- almost 80 percent of people who successfully keep weight off chow down on this meal, according to a study published in Obesity Research. "Your metabolism slows as you sleep, and the process of digesting food revs it up again," explains Heller. Aim for a 300- to 400-calorie breakfast, such as a high-fiber cereal (another metabolism booster) with skim milk and fruit.

5. Pump up protein

Not in an extreme, Atkins sort of way, but having a little protein at every meal fires up your metabolism. "Your digestive system uses more energy to break it down, so you burn more calories," explains Lisa Dorfman, R.D. However, keep protein levels to between 20 and 35 percent of your diet; eating too much of it can cause kidney strain and may cause your body to store too much fat.

All 5 of these methods have to do with speeding up your metabolism. it is possible to speed up your metabolism, that little engine in your body that burns calories. As you age, your metabolism slows down, chiefly because you lose around a half pound of muscle each year. "If you don't use the muscle, it atrophies," explains Pamela Peeke, M.D., professor of medicine at the University of Maryland and author of Fight Fat After Forty.

Guide To How To Pack A Suitcase

Your how to pack a suitcase guide

Travel packing tips: How to pack light and still stay in style

I'll admit it, when it comes to packing I'll empty my entire closet out and try and stuff it all in one large suitcase. Most of it comes back unworn and wrinkled. After years of travel, I've come to appreciate the fine art of packing and I am slowly learning how to pack a suitcase and how to pack lightly. Here are a few travel packing tips to assist in the task of packing.

Picking the right suitcase

The first step to great packing is to purchase a great bag. Sure, you can stop by K-mart and buy a $30 suitcase, but it's not going to last. Luggage is something worth investing in. A good suitcase can last years, if not decades. Plus, cheap suitcases don't protect the contents as well as an expensive one will. Last, a bag with wheels is much easier on your shoulder and much easier to transport than a duffel bag. To carry on or not to carry on?

I won't lie, I get a small pleasure from exiting the plane and walking right out the door, while everyone else has to wait and shoulder there way to their bags on the conveyor belt. I always recommend carrying your luggage on. It saves time and you don't have to wait for your bags or worry about losing them. It also requires you to pack less. It's important to keep in mind airline restrictions on carry-on items though. There are size limits, usually no more than 40 pounds and it has to fit in the overhead compartments or under your seat. If you are traveling with children or carrying on your luggage is not an option, make sure to label your luggage correctly and take off any unnecessary tags to ensure that your luggage gets to you safely. Also, if I have to check my luggage I always pack my toothbrush and a clean pair of underwear in my carry-on just in case my luggage gets delayed.

Pick, choose and lose

I'm sure that new summer dress is very thinning, but you're going to be hiking in the mountains. The first packing tip is to bring only what you need. I always go through my closet and pull out everything I want to bring and then place the items in stacks. Then I put at least half of it back into the closet, picking out only the items I need. Keep the weather, what kind of activities you will be partaking in and the location in mind. I recommend packing solid colors and basic clothing items that can be easily pieced together and will match the other clothing items you pack. Instead of packing a sweater, try packing a light jacket. It will look nicer and probably will match more items. Remember to pack at least one dressy outfit as well. Women, don't feel obligated to pack items like skirts if you don't plan on wearing them. A nice pair of slacks will suffice. Shoes are items that take up a lot of space when packing. Wear one pair of comfortable shoes on the plane that match all your outfits, and then pack one pair of sandals and one pair of dressy shoes in your luggage.

The other stuff

Clothes are not the only things that are packed. Toiletries can easily start to add up and take up lots of space. Nowadays everything can be bought in travel size and they take up a lot less space then a jumbo bottle of shampoo. Items like blow- dryers are not necessary considering most hotels come with one. Keep the toiletries minimal and only bring what's necessary, plus if something comes up, you can always purchase things once you've reached your destination.

How to pack a suitcase and make it all fit

One common packing mishap is wrinkly clothes. Hopefully, by lightening your load and only packing the necessities, you will have room in your suitcase for everything to fit and it won't get wrinkled. Plus, the fun part of vacationing is buying things and by packing lightly you'll have extra room in your suitcase for the things you pick up along the way. Second, rolling your clothing like pants and t-shirts saves lots of room and they can easily be stacked. Other items like sweaters or button-up shirts need to be folded neatly in a square and the wrinkles should be smoothed out. Placing items like socks inside your shoes conserves space and is a great packing tip.

I had a friend travel to Spain and once she arrived she found her bottle of perfume had broken and leaked over all her clothes. Needless to say she smelled good the entire trip. Toiletries, especially items like perfume and shampoo, should be placed in sealed plastic bags and away from your clothes, so in case they leak they will not get over everything else.

The most important packing tip for vacations is to plan ahead. Check the weather forecast before packing so you will be prepared clothing wise. Also, don't wait until the last minute to pack, because you will definitly end up over packing. Just follow these few, simple travel packing tips and you'll learn how to pack a suitcase lightly. So, here's to a wrinkle-free, fun-filled vacation.

Legislation and the Secured Loans Market

Introduction

The Secured Loans market is often referred to as 'Unregulated' and this has led to organisations taking a rather laissez faire attitude to creating advertisements as part of their marketing campaigns? This article shows that regulation within the secured loans industry is very much alive. It will also briefly discuss the various Parliamentary Acts that incorporate legislation affecting the Secured Loans or Second Charges market and advertising. The target readership for the article is either those involved in the Finance Industry and marketing of specifically secured loans, or members of the public with a general interest in Consumer Credit legislation and advertising regulations which may affect them.

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT)

The Office of Fair Trading, or O.F.T as it is more commonly referred to, is responsible for a number of key areas with the ultimate aim of protecting the consumer. It has three main purposes. These are the enforcement of Competition and Consumer Protection rules, the analysis of markets to make sure they are working and communication to consumers, businesses and the government.

In terms of Secured Loans there are a number of areas the O.F.T deals with that affect the way that operators in the market promote themselves. The first of these is by administering Consumer Credit Licenses. With the rapid growth in people taking out credit in the early 1970s an act of parliament was passed in 1974 called the Consumer Credit Act and it is under this at that Consumer Credit Licences are granted. If an entity advertises promotes or brokers Secured Loans it must have a Category C Consumer Credit License. On application the O.F.T will investigate all people connected to the business applying to ensure that they are all people worthy of issuing or guiding people to enter into credit. There is a general misconception in the market that the Consumer Credit License is only required if the Secured Loans Company offers loans less than 25,000, but the Act clearly states that a Category C license is required for businesses that provide credit of ANY amount secured on land.

Other areas the O.F.T deal with that affects secured loans are there enforcement of other elements of the 1974 Act and also the updates to the Act which occurred in 2004 - these are the 'Agreements Amendment', 'Disclosure of Information' and 'Early Settlement' Consumer Credit Acts.

For secured loans these act govern a number of things. The first of which is the way that organisations can advertise secured loans. The Acts have rules governing what can and cannot be said in an advertisement and also have stipulation over certain words that have to appear in the advertisement. For example the words "YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON A MORTGAGE OR ANY OTHER DEBT SECURED ON IT" probably have to appear on most Secured Loans advertisements. The Acts also stipulate that the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) must appear on Credit advertising and also given rules give its calculation (commonly known as the TTC calculation or total charge for credit).

There is a growing momentum in the Mortgage and Secured loans industry that at some time secured loans will be regulated by the F.S.A. With the already increased workload of the F.S.A it is more likely that an 'official' recommendation for their regulation by the F.S.A is more likely to come from the O.F.T

Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The Financial Services Authority, or F.S.A as it is more commonly know, is responsible for enforcing the rules of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Contrary to popular belief it is actually a non-government independent body and is financed solely from the income it receives from the very organisations it legislates. Although it is accountable to Treasury Ministers it is operationally independent.

In terms of legislation affecting Secured Loans the F.S.A regulates activities in relation to payment protection insurance (P.P.I). So if a business helps customers buy or claim on payment protection insurance it is highly likely it will need to apply to the F.S.A to be regulated. In the Secured Loans market whether you need to be legislated by the F.S.A largely depends on your involvement in P.P.I. If an organisation simply acts as an introducer it is quite likely it does not need to be regulated, however it is always advisable to seek legal advice.

Another area the F.S.A deals in that may affect Secured Loans providers is their regulation of Mortgages. The FSMA states that if an authorised lender gets second charge loans business from an unauthorised lender then their advertisements must be approved by the F.S.A approved firm.

Finance Industry Standards Institute (FISA)

The Finance Industry Standards Institute (FISA) is a self-governing body set up independently by the industry to govern itself in the Secured Loans market. An annual subscription fee from its members funds FISA. It publishes a Code of Conduct for its Members that cover the standards it requires in advertisements. In essence these are guidelines that give the requirements of the O.F.T specifically for the Secured Loans sector. FISA also publishes a disciplinary procedure and warns in its documentation that it will enforce legislation on non-members, in the first instance by contacting the offending organisation and in the second instance by informing the relevant regulatory body.

FISA also conducts training courses every month or so. These cover the legislative requirements of being involved in the Second Charge sector. In the future the organisation plans to have three levels of 'qualification', these will be Foundation, Associate and Member, but it is waiting on developments in the O.F.T and F.S.A before it does this. One supposes whether this happens will also be influenced by the level of regulation that those two bodies impose on the Secured Loans sector.

Information Commissioners Office (ICO)

The Information Commissioners Office (ICO) enforces the requirements of the Data Protection Act (1998). Given that all businesses in the secured loans sector will at some time hold information about individuals they must be registered as a Data Controller with the ICO. In summary, the Data Protection Act ensures that all data kept on an individual is accurate, fairly and lawfully processed, adequate relevant and not excessive, used for limited purposes, not sent overseas and is kept securely.

Other Regulatory Bodies and Secured Loans

Although the following organisations do not have a direct power or control over the secured loans market it is worthwhile mentioning them, not only for reasons of clarity, but also, as it is possible there will be changes in legislation, these organisations may later have more influence over the secured loans sector.

The Consumer Credit Trade Association (CCTA) is another independent body, but differs from FISA in that it deals with the whole Consumer Credit market. It also offers training courses, publishes regular newsletters and actively lobbies the Government about consumer credit related issues. In a world where we assume taking out credit is a relatively new phenomenon it is useful to note that the CCTA was founded well over a hundred years ago in 1891.

The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) is an independent body that represents the views and interests of institutions in the generation of mortgage business through Intermediaries.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) is yet another self-governed body operating in the Mortgage Industry. In a similar fashion to the CCTA it is also involved with government with legislative issues, issues policy guidelines. It is also renowned for produces statistics about the UK lending market covering, amongst other things, arrears and repossessions, the number of mortgages being taken out and specifics like the number of buy to let mortgages being taken out.

To finish this section there is one more independent organisation called the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) who act as the trade body for mortgage intermediaries.

Conclusion

Although the Secured Loans sector is commonly referred to as 'unregulated' this document has hopefully shown there is still a lot of regulation (both official and un-official) that affects and encompasses the secured loans sector. In the finance area where the UK has a reputation for being the most regulated in Europe it is only a matter of time before secured loans come under the umbrella of the FSA. It is believed that instruction for the FSA to take control of the secured loans market is more likely to come from the treasury rather than the FSA itself. What is certain is that the secured loans market will become more legislated.

What Are The Best Cheap Dental Plans For Your Child's Health?

If you've been looking into cheap dental plans because you are concerned about your child's dental health then there are a few things that you may not be aware of. You see, all dental plans are NOT created equal and some will charge you way too much money and not provide nearly enough coverage. Compared to other things that are available now, some of these other plans are on the verge of being a rip off. Are you curious what I'm referring to? I thought you might be. Read on...

The plans that I'm brining into questionare called, you guessed it - Dental Insurance! What? I'll bet you thought I was going to tell you how great they are, weren't you? Regardless, dental insurance is not the best way to get dental care for you or your child. The main reason that I say this is because most "competent" dental insurance plans are very expensive and do NOT cover pre-existing conditions. Pre-existing conditions are any problems that you or your child may have before you purchase the policy. This means that if you or another family member has a cavity, needs a root canal, ect. that you will NOT be covered and will have to pay for treatment out of your own pocket at full price. Dental insurance is more designed for routine care, such as cleanings, flouride treatments and other basic dental work.

If you are in need of a dental plan right away because your child or someone else in your family has a major dental problem, then you need to take a look at a Dental Discount Plan instead. Dental Discount Plans are not an insurance policy, they simply provide big discounts to their members by joining. You'll see a qualified dentist or dental specialist, depending on the care that you need, and you'll save anywhere from ten to sixty percent off of the usual cost of the procedure. These dentists are just like any other that you've ever seen. As a matter of fact, your current dentist may already be a member without you knowing it.

If you or your children are in need of a good family dental plan, I recommend that you take a look at dental discount plans and compare them directly with dental insurance. Make sure that you read the fine print and you'll soon see that I'm right.

Health Insurance for the Recent College Graduate

As you graduate college and head into the great, big, scary world, there are probably a lot of things on your mind. First and foremost is finding a good job, then finding a place to live, and then maybe figuring out how to pay back those student loans. One thing that might not cross your mind is health insurance. All of your life, youve most likely been a dependent on your parents coverage, but that ship is about to sailif it hasnt already.

We know what youre thinking, Why do I need health insurance? Im young, Im healthy, and doctor visits are few and far between. So why pay for something Ill never use? Hey, we understand where youre coming from. But accidents and illnesses happen without warning, even to the strapping young adults such as you. Sure, health insurance is expensive, but not having it will cost you dearly.

First things to know

Lets get one thing straight, health care in the United States is a nightmare, few will argue that. There are thousands of options when it comes to receiving care and paying for it, some of them good, some of them not so much. When it comes to choosing an insurance policy thats right for you, confusion abounds. So lets learn a little more about your options.

There are two essential categories of health insurance: managed care and indemnity plans. Though youll pay more for indemnity coverage, it offers much more flexibility than does a managed care plan. Through indemnity coverage, youll have your choice of doctor, lab, hospital or specialty clinic. When you seek medical care, youll have to pay an out of pocket expensecalled a deductiblebefore your coverage will kick in. Deductibles range from a few hundred dollars up to $1,000 or more, depending on your policy. Also, indemnity plans require a co-payment on medical care

PC Time Synchronisation Services

Computers maintain time and date information using internal real-time clock chips. These chips are battery-backed and maintain time even when the power to the computer is switched off. However, the components utilised are relatively low-cost devices and have a tendency to drift by relatively large amounts. This article describes various ways of keeping the time on your computer accurate. It also shows how to synchronise a computers system clock with a highly accurate reference clock.

Computer systems time can drift anything from a few seconds a day to a few minutes each day. When processing transactions or performing time critical tasks across a number of computers, incorrect time can be a real headache.

The Internet found and solved this problem a number of years ago by developing the Network Time Protocol. NTP can be used to distribute accurate time from a highly precise time server to network time clients. Most modern operating systems have the ability to synchronise time with a NTP server. Generally, all that is required is the IP address or domain name of Stratum 1 or Stratum 2 NTP servers.

LINUX and UNIX operating systems can download the full NTP implementation from the NTP web site 'ntp.org'. NTP is freely available open source software available under the GNU public licence.

Microsoft Windows XP/2000/2003 and Vista operating systems have an integrated SNTP client. SNTP stands for Simple Network Time Protocol. Simple Network Time Protocol provides a sub-set of the Network Time Protocols algorithms. SNTP provides a simplified NTP algorithm with many of the complex routines to acheive high precision removed. Windows operating systems allow an IP address or domain name of a Internet or Intranet NTP server to be entered in the time properties tab. The SNTP client will then periodically contact the NTP server in order to update and synchronise system time.

A problem arises, however, if the computer does not have access to the Internet or is not networked. What is required is local access to an accurate time reference. However, there are many freely available time and frequency resources that can be utilsied.

A number of national time and frequency radio broadcasts are available. These radio broadcasts are generally referred to by their 'call sign'. WWVB is the North-American time and frequency radio transmission, broadcast for Colorado in the States. DCF is the call-sign of the German radio time transmission, which is broadcast from Meinflingen near Frankfurt. The UK time transmitter is located at Anthorn, Cumbria, it's call sign is MSF. A number of other broadcasts are available in France, Canada, Switzerland and Japan. USB and serial radio receivers are available that can receive radio time broadcasts and provide computers with accurate timing information. The PC system time can then be synchronised to the received time and frequency radio source.

The problem with national radio time broadcasts is that they inherantly have a finite transmission range. Their transmissions are generally regional and limited to national boundaries. The Global Positioning System (GPS) provides a solution to this. The GPS system operates from a number of orbiting satellites. Each satellite has an on-board highly accurate synchronised atomic clock. GPS can provide highly precise timing information anywhere on the face of the planet. All that is required to receive the GPS transmissions is a low-cost GPS receiver and antenna. The GPS antenna needs to be shown a good clear view of the sky for correct operation. By connecting a PC to a serial or USB GPS receiver, accurate timing information is continuously available.

To summarise, a wide range of highly accurate computer timing references are freely available. Utilising the Internet, National time and frequency radio transmissions or the GPS system can ensure that a computers time remains locked to a precise time reference.

David Evans provides technical authoring services to the computer time synchronisation industry. For detailed information on Windows 2000/2003 Radio and GPS time server systems, please visit: http://www.timetools.co.ukAnirban Blog10563

Which Surveillance Camera System Is Right For My Business?

If you own a business, you know that theft occurs by your customers and employees. Employee theft exceeds $8.5 billion annually! 75% of inventory shortages are attributed to employee theft. (National Restaurant Association). It's been reported that over 75% of internal theft is undetected, and growing at a 15% annual rate (Justice Department). All this dishonesty costs American businesses between % and 3% of their gross sales! Even 1% costs over one billion dollars a week in employee theft.

The results of all this? 30% of business failures are due to poor hiring practices by hiring thieves. Annual losses generated by poor hires, absenteeism, drug abuse, and theft amount to $75 billion per year. (U.S. Department of Commerce-Atlanta Business Chronicle.). While we can't screen your employees, you can keep an eye on them, and a video surveillance system is one of the best ways to do it.

When choosing a video surveillance camera system, there are several things to consider: Hidden Cameras vs. Visible Cameras Wireless Cameras vs. Wired Cameras Indoor Systems vs. Outdoor Systems Video Recording vs. DVR Recording

Hidden Cameras vs. Visible Cameras Hidden Cameras The first thing you want to consider is whether you want your cameras to be visible or not. Modern technology has reduced a video camera down to miniature levels. Hidden cameras can be hidden behind a pinhole, and can be put in practically any everyday item in your house or office, in a briefcase or backpack, or even hidden in a hat or behind a button. The advantage is that the criminal won't know they are being recorded, and you should catch more theft. Hidden cameras could be more expensive then visible cameras.

Visible Cameras A visible camera system consists of any number of visible cameras from the black dome cameras you see in most stores, to the old fashioned kinds on brackets pointing at you at the bank. There are also high resolution cameras that can zoom in to tight detail. The advantages of these types of systems is that your criminal will know they are being watched, and that should deter a lot of crime that normally would occur without the cameras.

Even a series of dummy camera's, camera bodies with no working parts except a flashing red light, are proven to deter crime. If you don't have the funds for a working video surveillance system, just installing four to twelve dummy cameras fools the criminal into thinking you have a real system in place.

Wireless Cameras vs. Wired Cameras You have two choices for the type of surveillance system, wireless and wired. Both have advantages and disadvantages;

Wireless Camera System Wireless camera systems are the fastest systems to install, as you just need to mount the cameras, hook up the wireless receiver in the back room, and wire it all together to a power box and some type of system to record the video.

The advantages of wireless cameras are that they can be installed in locations that are difficult, if not impossible to wire. They can be moved to different locations easily, as often as you like, and if the need arises, they can be hidden inside a moving object like inside your cloth, cap, briefcase or carrying bag etc.

To overcome the disadvantages of a wireless camera, you should buy one with a higher frequency transmission band of at least 1.2GHz or above. If you need to take video from the wireless camera a long distance from the receiver, or there are walls, metallic or steel obstacles between the wireless camera and the receiver, you should buy a wireless model with a higher transmission power, that is, a transmitter with longer transmission distance. Another good idea is to use a high gain antenna for the transmitter or receiver, which will improve the signal transmission/reception.

The disadvantages of wireless cameras are that the video stream might be disturbed or influenced by moving objects or strong radio or even telephone frequencies. Video/audio transmission is limited within the prescribed transmission range. These disadvantages will not occur with a wired camera.

Wireless camera systems are also more expensive than wired systems, as they require a lot of receivers and transmitters to received the video that normally would run in the inexpensive wires. However, the costs are usually worth it, as it could cost less to install, and less to relocated. Overall, the video/audio signals from a wireless camera are less stable than a wireless camera.

Wired Camera Systems Wired camera systems are more stable due to the cable, which doesn't have the interference problems associated with wireless systems. You need to run a video cable to each camera in order to get a video feed. You will have to run the wire either through the walls and ceiling, or have it exposed on the wall. While the cost of the system is less than a wireless system, it will require more work to install, and if you are paying someone, it might cost more than buying a wireless system.

You should look at the total costs to purchase and install both systems and go with what is best for you. Overall, the video/audio signals from a wired camera are more stable than a wireless camera.

Indoor Systems vs. Outdoor Systems Depending on your needs, you will need a camera for indoor or outdoor needs. If you need to monitor your loading dock, you will need a camera that can withstand the elements. Unless it's specifically sold as an outdoor camera, a regular camera can't withstand the beating from Mother Nature that a weatherproof camera can endure.

You can find many types of outdoor camera, dome, bullet, and standard. All are enclosed in waterproof cases and some even have heaters for cold areas. You can also buy hardened cameras that will withstand direct hits from bats and hammers. These are recommended in high crime areas.

Video vs. DVR recording You need to determine if you want to record the activity, or just hire someone to monitor it. It's a good idea to record the video so you can give a copy to law enforcement for future needs. You have two choices, VCR or DVD.

VCR allows you to record the video with a Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) directly to a VHS tape. You can use a bank of standard VCR's, or there are high density VCR's that allow you to record days of video. Some come with motion detectors and won't record unless the video changes. The disadvantages are that you have to know about what time the event occurred, or you will have to review all the tape sequentially, or on fast forward.

The latest technology is using a DVR or PC based DVR system to record the video to disc. The advantages are a DVD can be burned from the digital recording. This is the easiest system to review your recordings, as you can jump ahead to any point in the recording, unlike the VHS tape. The initial cost will be larger than a VCR system, though you won't need to buy tapes, and the ease of use will be worth the extra money for a DVR based system.

You have two types of DVR systems, DVR recorder and PC based. DVR recorders feed the video directly into the hard drive or disc on the recorder and you either burn the disc, or back up the hard drive. These come in a variety of sizes, from standard sizes for indoor uses, down to field use DVRs the size of a pack of cigarettes that can record up to 60 hours of video from a hidden surveillance camera.

Your other option is the PC based surveillance system that uses a Personal Computer, a video capture card, and software as a control center that can not only record the video and burn it to disc, a quad can be installed to monitor the feeds on real time over a computer screen, and break it up into quadrants to monitor multiple cameras at the same time, in real time.

We have only just scratched the surface of video surveillance systems with this brief overview, and future articles will focus on the pros and con's of what is out there, and is it right for you.

Don't delay installing a surveillance system for your home or business. You never know when crime will strike and it is too late after the fact. Get it on disc so the police can arrest the criminals.Arash Blog89023

Anatomy of the Electric Guitar: A Glossary of Parts

'Guitar speak' can be a little confusing, especially to non-guitarists and beginners. This article describes the various part of the electric guitar and some of the terminology used in describing them.

The 3 main parts of the electric guitar are called the body, the neck, and the headstock.

The body of the guitar is the largest part and where the strumming hand is positioned and can be made of various types of wood. Electric guitar bodies can be solid, hollow, or semi-hollow. Solid-bodies are usually 2-3 shaped pieces of solid wood glued together. Hollow-bodies, like acoustics, have a completely open resonance chambers usually with f-hole shaped openings. Semi-hollowbodies look like hollow bodies from the outside, however, will have a solid block of wood through the center of the resonance chamber. Body shapes can vary widely from the classic Stratocaster and Les Paul shapes to the radical flying v and explorer shapes. The sides that make up the body of a guitar are referred to as the top, back, and sides. The top of the body can be flat or carved (curve shaped). The upper bout and lower bout of the body refer to the head-facing or feet-facing halves of the body, respectively, when in the playing position. The horns of the body are the wooden protrusions found on either side of the neck on a Stratocaster shaped guitar. Guitars may contain a binding made of celluloid, plastics, or wood that outlines the sides of the body, headstock, and sometimes neck.

The neck on a guitar is the long midsection where the fretted hand is positioned and can be a single piece of wood or 2-3 glued pieces. The neck joint is where the neck joins the body. Neck joints are categorized as either bolt-on, set neck (glued in place), or neck-thru style where the neck continues through to the body in a single solid piece. The heel describes the flattened area on the back of the neck that rests right next to the neck joint. The fretboard or fingerboard refers to the wooden face on the top of the neck usually made from maple, rosewood, or ebony. The frets are the wire dividers on the fingerboard. Fretmarkers are placed at set positions on the fingerboard and are commonly made of mother-of-pearl or ink inlays. These inlays are most commonly shaped like round dots or trapezoids. Most electric guitar necks will have an adjustable truss rod running through the center of the neck as a reinforcement and counterbalance to the string tension.

The headstock is the portion at the end of the neck. The shape and markings on the headstock are indicative of the brand of guitar. Guitar brands can be instantly recognized by the signature shape of their headstocks. Furthermore, headstocks will usually have the guitar brand name imprinted or inlayed on the top and have the serial number and other company information on the back. The headstock may have a plastic truss rod plate covering the adjustable end of the necks truss rod. The tuners, pegs, gears, and keys all refer to the string winding hardware located on the headstock.

The hardware on an electric guitar refers to the usually metal pieces visible on guitars body and headstock. The bridge is the string stop apparatus on the body of the guitar. Guitar bridges contain a saddle for each individual string and may have a spring mechanism called a tremolo to change the string tension while playing the guitar. The handle used to manipulate the tremolo is known as the tremolo arm or whammy bar. Some guitar bridges will contain fine tuner knobs as well. The strings on some guitars will extend past the bridge and anchor to a tailpiece or pass through to the back of the body in a string-through-body design. The nut refers to the string stop piece located at the junction of the neck and the headstock. Nuts can be made of wood, ivory, bone, or metal. Strap buttons are located on the body and sometimes heel of the guitar and provide tether spots for the guitar strap to hang.

Guitar electronics refer to the pickups and controls. Pickups are wound magnet devices that detect string vibration and sends it to the amplifier to produce sound. They can be a single-coil type or paired as a humbucker type. Pickups can be passive or active if they have a battery powered preamp. Electronic controls are the volume and tone knobs or pots (potentiometers) and the pickup selector switch or toggle switch. The input jack is where you plug the guitar into the amplifier. The electronic components of a guitar are usually set inside of a routed out compartment in the body of the guitar and is often covered with a plastic pickguard or scratch plate on the top of the body or a backplate on the back of the body.

The finish on a guitar refers to the painting techniques used to give the guitar its appearance. Some guitars will have a natural finish that showcase the beauty of the wood grain used while other will have a solid paint color. One popular technique is to use a translucent finish that both colors the guitar while also showing off the underlying wood grain. These guitars are regarded as having highly flamed tops or figured tops as opposed to the little or no grain displaying plain top translucent finishes. One special type of wood grain translucent finish that shows a distinct square-like pattern is known as a quilt-top finish. Another popular technique which uses a gradual grading of 2-3 colors is known as a burst finish as seen in the popular sunburst, honeyburst, and silverburst finishes. Many guitars will have a high gloss clear coat finish of lacquer or nitrocellulose while other will have a flat matte, smooth, and freshly sanded feeling satin finish.

Finding The Best Online Dating Service

Finding the best online dating service

With different kinds of online dating services littering the Internet, it is sometimes confusing where to sign up. While there is actually no restriction on how many dating sites you can sign up with, it is good to just concentrate on a few that you can really trust. Besides, most of these sites charge minimal fees for some services. If you do not have the money to spare, you can just concentrate on one and make sure that you make the most out of the services that the site offers.

So how do you choose the best of the best? There is actually no fixed set of criteria in choosing an online dating site. It really depends on the requirements of the person and the services that they will find useful. One thing that you should of course consider is the reputation of the site. More popular sites will of course have more members, which in turn will translate to bigger chances of finding potential mates.

Another advantage of going with popular sites is the fact that they have a system that have already been tried and tested by people. Otherwise, they would not have become so popular. Another thing that you should look for is the technique that they use in matching people or the search keywords that they use. Some sites only match people who live within a state while others match people from all over the world. Some concentrate on age and vital stats while others include in the searches hobbies and interests.

Another consideration is of course the fee. Some sites offer their services for free while others charge a fee for subscriptions and additional services. Look out for these hidden charges when choosing a site. It is also good to go for sites that give you personalized and anonymous emails within the site. That way, you still keep your personal email intact. Some also have chatrooms where members can chat and hook up. These chat options allow members to keep their yms to themselves.

Most online dating sites will offer the same kind of services. Sometimes, it is actually up to the person where they feel most comfortable in. Below are just some of the online dating sites that you can try. Surf the net and look at the services that they offer. Browse through and then decide which is best for you.

1. Match.com

In fact, it has the largest number of members and according to their site, Match.com has inspired a lot of marriages, twice more than any other sites in the World Wide Web. There are however additional services that they charge a fee for. The site also includes forums and chatrooms where members can communicate. There are also dating advice and tips which members will find useful. Another good thing about the site is the fact that Match.com gives personalized email addresses to its members. This way, members are protected.

2. Eharmony.com

This is another site that single people find really useful. Their site boasts of more marriages per matches than any other dating site. Like Match.com, the site gives members free space to place their profiles as well as put personals inviting people to view them.

Everthing You Need to Know About Individual Health Insurance Plans (Part I)

If you are one of the many individuals who are not covered by group health insurance through your employer or other organization, you will need to go out into the market and research individual health insurance plans. Individual health insurance plans essentially come in two flavors: Indemnity (fee-for-service) and managed care plans (HMO, PPO, POS). In general terms, the major differences lie in the choice of healthcare providers, out-of-pocket expenses, and how the bills are paid.

Even though the health insurance market has seen a dramatic shift away from indemnity plans (due to higher costs), these plans are still often referred to as the more traditional form of health insurance since they have been around the longest.

For indemnity health plans, individuals typically pay a predetermined percentage of medical care costs (called co-insurance) and the insurance company pays the balance. A common indemnity plan is an 80/20 plan, where the insurance company pays 80% and you, the insured, pay 20%. Your insurance company will only make payment in accordance with the usual, customary, and reasonable (UCR) fees as determined, which are based on what health care providers charge in your area for a given service. Of course, if your individual health insurance plan has a deductible, this must be met first before this pay structure kicks in.

Depending on your indemnity health plan, you may be required to pay for services upfront and submit claims for reimbursement directly from the insurance company, as opposed to your provider directly billing your insurance company for services.

While an indemnity individual health plan allows you much freedom in terms of provider and medical facility choice, this freedom does not come cheap. The cost can vary as to how much of a deductible you have and your out-of-pocket limit. As you might expect, as your out-of-pocket expenses increase (deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance), the cost of your health care premiums go down. Even so, this is one of the more expensive types of individual health insurance plans out there.

Additional individual health insurance plans are managed health care plans, like HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations), PPOs (Preferred Provider Organizations), and POS (Point of Service) plans.

Managed health care plans have become the most popular form of health care coverage offered in the United States today. One of the reasons that managed care plans have become so popular is because of cost. Indeed, as health care costs continue to rise at double digit increases year after year, those looking for the most affordable individual health plans available more often than not choose managed care plans, as they are the least expensive.

Managed health care plans are plans work off the basic premise that health care costs can be better controlled by controlling access to health treatments and services. While this may be true and works to keep costs down, from a patient's perspective, it can be difficult to get approval for health care that goes beyond basic preventative care. You will need to see doctors within the HMO network and any specialists that you do see will need to be by referral. This loss of freedom is the trade off you must accept in return for more affordable individual health insurance plans.

Hair Transplant Techniques

People are always conscious of their appearance. No one prefers a bald head so modern technology has introduced different methods of hair transplant The success of hair transplant surgery depends upon the type of hair transplantation procedure one adopts during hair restoration surgery.

Gradually hair transplant has taken a new turn in the span of time with single follicular hair being the standard unit of hair transplant surgery. The hair transplant procedure has now become standardized. A long string of hair transplant starts with the harvesting of donors hair. It begins with the excision of 1cm and 20cm long strip of hair from donor site. The strip is tapering at end to facilitate easy removal.

The dissection of strips is the next step. After the strip is excised from the donor site it is handed over to the surgical assistants. Then he cuts the strip into many fine strips with the use of stereoscopic microscope. This process of transplantation of donor strips into many strips is technology termed as silvering.

Earlier most of the hair restoration surgeons used to take help of multi blade knife for cutting the strip into silvers. However after the introduction of stereoscopic dissection of microscope the use of single blade has gained much acceptance. After the completion of slicing of strips, the next hair transplant procedure consists of dissecting of these silvers into categories of grafts again with the use of dissection microscope.

In case of dissection of onehaired follicular unit it is called follicular unit graft, in case of twohaired it is called micro-graft, in case of three haired follicular units it is called mini-graft.

Making slits on the recipient site is the next procedure after micro-grafts and mini-grafts and follicular unit. This is one of the most important procedures. The natural direction of the hair plays an important role in the surgery. The size of the slit is also of immense importance. The size of slit and size of graft to be transplanted should be same. Different sizes of blades are used for different kinds and sizes of follicular units and groups of follicles.

Laser hair transplant is another method. It has proved to give much natural results. In this process a laser beam is used to vaporize a narrow slot in scalp for implanting hair graft. It is capable of transplanting hundreds of graft dramatically and thus also reduces the time of hair transplant surgery.

Printer Rental: Do Business Need Them?

Printer rental is not the most economical option for a small home office or a small business entrepreneur whose printing is limited. If a business requires occasional printing tasks, with one or a few copies than its far better to buy a printer, or even an all-in-one that combines printer, fax, scanner and copier tasks. These retail for just a little over $100. A printer that is used primarily for word processing business task such as reports, speeches, in house documents and so forth need not even use the color copy function to any great extent. These are economical printers and a printer rental for these would be a waste of money.

Where printer rental is an economically advantageous idea is for firms that produce multiple copies day in and day out, that provide printed copy to clients, that use their company printer to product marketing materials, and so forth. If the tasks that will be undertaken by the company printer are extensive, especially if they require graphics, collating and batches of 100 or more, a printer rental is generally a more sound decision than a printer purchase. One of the advantages of a printer rental or lease is the service and on site repair that come with the business printer rental.

Here is a typical printer rental offer.

This company specializes in the powerful Hewlett Packard 4600 color laser printer rental although it also offers many makes and models of both laser and inkjet printers.

The printer rental firm has a large inventory of printers both black and white as well as color. You can have your printer rental directly connected to your firms business computer or you can rent printers that are network enabled. If you know your companys network settings, this printer rental vendor can configure the printer with the IP youll need and the gateway information.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that you may have to update your printer drivers whether your operating system is Windows or Mac. This firm will help you get that accomplished.

Another option you may want to consider when you get your printer rental is the rental of a wireless server for your later printer. If youre using a temporary wireless business computer network, or you are in any way constrained from having additional cables in your location this would resolve that issue. This printer rental vendor can rent the wireless server to you and can also integrate all the hardware into your network. They can even set it up for a situation such as a trade show, where youll need to network from the exhibit hall of a convention center and so forth.

This printer rental provides a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. Included in the printer rental are the firms assurance of sales experts with printer and other rental equipment expertise, and a huge inventory of top of the line products that include Hewlett Packard, NEC, Apple; Compaq, Pioneer and Fujitsu, and others.

Printer rental includes software loading and configuration prior to delivery. This includes your firms proprietary imaging. Your printer rental equipment is tested for quality assurance, to ensure that the equipment you are renting works as it should. The rental guarantee also includes delivery and installation by technicians who are both certified and in uniform.

Technical support of the printer rental equipment is 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The response time for on-site delivery, service and support is short, and the technicians all carry two way radios for instant communication with clients.

Replacement service is guaranteed on printer rental equipment that is faulty, and help desk support is unlimited and available via toll free number.
